Connecting with Roots: The Power of Italian Genealogy

Connecting with Roots: The Power of Italian Genealogy

Join us as we explore Italian heritage, genealogy, and the importance of cultural preservation with Daniela Sfara, creator of ITALUS. Discover stories of Italian migration, the significance of authentic cultural experiences, and how next-generation initiatives are revitalizing Italy’s rich traditions.

At the center of ITALUS, the next generation takes the stage. These are the ones connecting past and future, shaping what comes next, and curating it all with reverence.

It’s for this our decision makers are a team of five remarkable individuals, the majority of whom represent the next generation.

This is intentional.

We cannot speak about the importance of giving the next generation a stage, a platform, and a voice if we are not willing to do so ourselves.

They are the lifeline connecting past generations to the future, carrying forward the heritage, culture, and spirit of southern Italy with curiosity, passion, and dedication.

Through them, our work takes shape. They lead initiatives, guide projects, and bring forward partnerships that regenerate Italian culture, heritage, and territory.

ITALUS is here to amplify their vision and our shared mission: to honor, protect, and breathe new life into southern Italy’s patrimony through those who will inherit it, nurture it, and teach it forward.

I learned that my uncle Giovanni’s youngest son, Joe, had taped several conversations he had with his dad.  Joe and his sister Vita, were able to translate from the original Barese into English.  Here is the summary written by Joe.  With some awesome photos.  At the bottom you will find

John Cabot Was Italian
